AOL offers online identity authentication

Now it will be even easier to spend your money online...

NEWS AOL Time Warner is set to release an authentication device that will enable users to store personal information for performing online transactions. The device will see AOL go head-to-head with Microsoft's Passport service which is to come as part of Windows XP and will enable users to store details such as credit card numbers and addresses. Both companies hope to make ecommerce simpler for consumers by removing the need to enter details every time they make a purchase online.
