Oracle signs £6m contract with Liverpool City Council

NEWS Liverpool City Council has today awarded a £6m contract to Oracle for CRM, HR and payroll, and iProcurement modules of its 11i E-Business Suite. The council boasts one of the largest call centres in the UK. The contract will help bring Liverpool in line with the UK governments current drive for modernisation in across national and local government departments. In a statement, David McElhinney, executive director at the council, said: "Liverpool City Council prides itself on already being at the cutting edge of local government through our use of technology. Our investment in Oracle technology will enable us to move closer to our goal of being a truly 24-hour council with the citizens at the heart of the enterprise."
