NEWS Nintendo has postponed the US launch of its GameCube console by nearly two weeks to 18 November, which means it will hit the market 10 days after Microsoft's Xbox. The Japanese electronics giant denied that technical problems had caused the delay and insisted that the it had changed the date because the timing was more appropriate. The company said it plans to ship 500,000 consoles onto the Japanese market by 14 September, and added it plans to ship four million units by the end of March 2002.
