Verio cuts 750 jobs

NTT's dreams of global expansion are squashed...

NEWS NTT subsidiary Verio is to shed 750 jobs and close data centres in the US. The web hosting company's workforce will fall 25 per cent after the lay offs, which have no definite timetable. The company was acquired by NTT for $5.5bn last August.
