WebMethods draws attention to enterprise systems

HP helps with specs...

NEWS Integration software provider WebMethods with the assistance of HP has launched a new specification helping companies keep tabs on the performance of enterprise systems across their business. Trying to manage best of breed systems such as CRM can be accomplished with the specification Open Management Interface (OMI) according to WebMethod. In a statement the Virginia-based company said this is because it combines system management software with enterprise integration software so information can be identified and compiled from applications throughout an enterprise, giving companies a better gauge on their ROI. If an order, for example, is placed using a Siebel system and with OMI a user can monitor all the data that moves across to a SAP inventory management application and an i2 supply chain as a result of that order.
