NEWS IT executives slept rough on Friday night to raise £300,000 for charity as part of the Byte Night. The money will go to fund NCH's work with homeless young people and youngsters in care homes to adjust to independent lives. The 75 IT members of the Finsbury Square sleep-a-thon were joined by Nick Faldo, Railway Children star Jenny Agutter and soul singer Beverlei Brown. A parallel event took place at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. The participants included executives from Barclays Private Equity, Microsoft, RSA Security, the Woolwich, SIM Group, ICL, St Bernard Software, Smartlogik, S3 and Yahoo! Byte Night has been running since 1998, and has raised a total of over £500,000.
