Citibank's one-stop money shop opens for business...

By Heather McLean, 27 September 2001 13:45

NEWS Citibank has finally launched its single stop online financial service, as predicted by silicon.com. My Accounts is the only service of its kind on the net that lets users put all their financial information from multiple vendors in one place. The service consolidates all those hard-to-remember passwords, plus one user name. As well as bank and credit card details, the user can pull up email services, news headlines, reward mileage programmes, and utility bills from a selection of UK and international service providers. Those involved in the free service include Halifax, Egg, Bank of Scotland, Goldfish, BBC news and Sky. Citibank revealed its idea for My Accounts in June this year and invited users to pre-register. Thousands have responded.
