Converge narrows its focus

Division closes after market apathy...

NEWS E-marketplace Converge has been force to shut down its three-month old supply chain and logistics services due to poor take up rate. The company also blamed external economic conditions for the closure of the services, which were launched at the end of June. At the time, Agilent Technologies was the only Converge member to have committed to using the new applications. The marketplace will continue to concentrate on its other services including e-procurement and auctioning, Converge was established last year by 16 high tech companies, including Compaq, HP, Hitachi and Samsung, to trade electronic parts and services.
