Three-year contract boosts support for PC users...

NEWS Global IT consultancy Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (CGE&Y) has scored a deal worth £6.5m with British Energy for 24/7 helpdesk support. Under the three-year contract, CGE&Y will provide help desk support for around 5,000 users of Energy's networked PC's over 11 UK sites. The service includes an error fixing service for office applications and problem management for Energy's specialist applications. The service will be provided from the CGE&Y Birmingham service centre. The deal extends both organisations' relationship following an outsourcing contract with Energy in Canada earlier this year.
