BEA lays off one in ten

More misery for tech workers...

NEWS Middleware provider BEA is laying off one in ten employees. About 300 people will lose their jobs. BEA also warned that it expects to miss expected earnings targets for the third quarter ended 31 October. It now expects earnings of between $217m and $221m, rather than the $260m to $275m it forecast back in August. The software maker blamed the events of 11 September for the shortfall.
