Palm goes shopping

$19m solutions group adds to portfolio...

NEWS Palm is going to buy enterprise data access software developer, ThinAirApps for $19m in an all-stock deal. The New York-based, privately held company is to become part of Palm's solutions group to add to the Palm PDA manufacturing and sales division. Before the end of this year, Palm plans to create a separate subsidiary for the solutions group. The deal is to be completed by the end of 2002.
