Loudcloud demands standard for SLAs

The customer comes first...

NEWS Managed services provider Loudcloud is calling for the introduction of a standard for internet services to regulate the quality of agreements between providers and customers. With its "Loudcloud Quality Challenge" the company has thrown down the gauntlet to competitors to publish independent measurements of the levels of their customer satisfaction. Ben Horowitz, the company's CEO, cites Exodus and Digitex as MSPs that have to date published details of internal surveys. Horowitz told silicon.com: "We want to give customers a real standard they can look to make them feel confident that they'll get the quality of service." Loudcloud claims independent research shows that 94 per cent of Loudcloud customers would renew their contracts and 80 per cent believe the company's services provide a high return on investment.
