WebMethods clinches lucrative e-hub deal

Members only...

NEWS WebMethods is to provide the connection to the Worldwide Retail Exchange e-marketplace for its members. The WWRE has 59 members with combined sales worth $845bn. WebMethods' software will link buyers with suppliers. Members of the exchange include K-Mart and Target. While there is already a partnership with IBM in place, which was established to build the original exchange, the new deal with WebMethods will help it get suppliers online faster. WebMethods beat rivals SeeBeyond, Tibco and Vitria to the deal, the value of which has not been disclosed.
