Pakistan abandons Silicon Valley

Too little, too late...

NEWS Pakistan has pulled out of Silicon Valley just a few months after its government set up shop there. The Consulate General's Office for Information Technology Development' in Los Altos is to close its doors after it opened in June 2001. According to reports on US wires, the Pakistani government has admitted it missed the boat on the tech boom. The US commerce department last year claimed that the country's tech industry was growing at a rapid rate.
