Banking giant signs £1.4m security deal

Three-year contract for Utimaco...

NEWS Security solutions firm Utimaco Safeware has announced a E2.3m (£1.4m) contract to provide support and consultancy services to Scandinavian banking giant FöreningsSparbanken. The contract will run for three years and builds upon an existing relationship between the two companies. Utimaco developed a PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) system to be deployed throughout the banking group in 1998, and also provided the bank with smartcard authentication systems.
