A bad week just got worse for Commerce One

Losses up and revenue down...

NEWS B2B company Commerce One has reported falling revenues and widening losses in its fourth quarter. Pro-forma net loss has leapt from $13.3m in Q4 2000 to $66.5m in 2001. It has also had to suffer declining revenues, which have dipped from $191.4m to $56m in the last quarter of 2001. Last week, the first real visible cracks in its relationship with SAP appeared after the companies abandoned their Enterprise Buyer licensing agreement after joining forces in 2000. Despite this, Commerce One CEO Mark Hoffman said in a financial statement: "We believe Commerce One is taking the right steps to compete effectively as the economy improves."
