DaimlerChrysler orders private e-marketplace

Covisint nabs contract...

NEWS Automobile industry exchange Covisint is to build and host a private marketplace for one of its founding members - DaimlerChrysler. The move will allow Daimler Chrysler to link its suppliers, via a private portal, with Covisint's 5,000 registered users. Covisint took on a similar project last year, when it agreed to build a private market place for Ford, linking it to the Covisint site. DaimlerChrysler conducted the biggest ever online auction last year, when it spent E3.5bn (£2.1bn) on car parts over a four-day spree.
