Peoplesoft on acquisition trail

Cash to spend and there's some bargains out there...

NEWS Peoplesoft is looking to make an acquisition in the supply chain management market, after having earmarked $1.7bn for potential buyouts. CEO Craig Conway said he wants Peoplesoft to rise in supply chain management software from worldwide number four to second or even first place. He told the Financial Times that an acquisition was not likely in the next couple of months, but with company values rising in the near future due to economic recovery, he didn't want his company to miss out on the depressed prices at the moment. He said: "There is a clock ticking so loudly, it is almost irritating."
