NEWS A Polish company is pioneering a mobile phone service warning women when they should avoid sex if they don't want to get pregnant. Adhering to Roman Catholic thinking on contraception many Polish couples practise the inexact science of the 'rhythm method' - only having sex on the days of the menstrual cycle when the woman is least likely to conceive. The service launched by mobile phone portal SuperSMS now enables women to receive text message alerts warning them when they are most likely to conceive. Conversely the service should also prove popular with couples looking to start a family. In other news, broody worms are also enjoying the benefits of mobile phones in their quest to reproduce. The radiation emitted by mobile phone handsets, thought by many to be damaging to humans, is shown from research at the University of Nottingham to increase a worm's chances of producing eggs.
