NEWS Online gambling company UKbetting, which already boasts Sportal, Sportinglife and Sportscard among its conquests, is hoping to add Teamtalk to the list following a £10m hostile bid. The board of Teamtalk, the sports radio, internet and telephony group, has advised shareholders to reject the move. At the heart of UKbetting's spending spree is a need for the company to increase its reach. It will hope to convert Teamtalk's customer base to the joys of online betting.
