Microsoft keeps Citrix on side

NEWS Microsoft has renewed its contract with Citrix to allow it to continue accessing the Windows server code to develop remote access software. In 1997 the two companies originally signed an agreement for Citrix to develop software for inclusion in Microsoft's Windows server operating system. Under the latest terms of the deal, Citrix will continue to have access to current and future server code, including terminal server interfaces, for the next three years. Citrix is well known for its Metaframe application which offers remote access to corporate servers from any location. The agreement does not include any formal payment between the two companies.
