NEWS Software and services firm Baan is on the verge of making 10 per cent of its staff redundant. According to Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad, the cuts are expected to be made in its poorest performing division, the Netherlands, where the business originally hails from. Baan has around 1,000 staff members in the Netherlands and about 3,600 employees in total. Baan was acquired by Invensys in 2000 and is now part of the company's product management division.
