JD Edwards goes Linux

And no, it's not with Red Hat...

NEWS JD Edwards will be making its CRM software available on Linux in a move that has seen it choose SuSe over the most dominant Linux distributor, Red Hat. The new Linux-friendly software will run on IBM DB2 databases and Big Blue's web services software, WebSphere. Last month, a number of Linux distributors, including SuSe joined forces to increase the strength of their presence in the market. Some have labelled the union an attempt to build a united front against Red Hat. The Linux version of JD Edwards CRM software will be out later this year.
