NEWS Chip designer ARC has brought three subsidiaries in-house as part of a recovery plan outlined earlier this year. MetaWare, Precise Software and VAutomation will be brought into the fold. ARC has suffered this year as growth has slowed and comparisons to similar companies such as ARM and Parthus have been made. ARC licenses chip designs and software to a range of manufacturers.
