Autonomy clinches biotech contract

Portal mania...

NEWS UK knowledge management firm Autonomy has won a contract with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to provide its agent technology for an internet portal for the biotechnology industry. The portal is to be called "Information Biotechnology" or "iBio" and will provide information to the biotechnology industry and interested academics. Autonomy said its technology will enable the portal to integrate all the disparate sources of information. The technology is able to do this without work from the contributing organisations, thus minimising the cost of developing the resource.
