NEWS A video game aimed at enticing youngsters into the US army is to be launched with patriotic fanfare today as America celebrates Independence Day. Nationalist fervour and a desire wage war in the wake of the attacks of 11 September means the success of the recruitment tools is likely to be high. Around 150,000 people have already pre-registered to play "America's Army". The game is divided into two sections - "Soldiers" which is a role playing game and "Operations" which is a first person shoot 'em up style romp. Game players - which a pretty zippy connection - will be able to download the 220Mb game from the Army's website and other gaming sites.
