Infosys hits numbers despite conflict

Indian firm goes boldly...

NEWS Indian software maker Infosys has announced a 14 per cent rise in profits for the three months to 30 June despite worries that border tensions between India and Pakistan would affect business. The company turned in profits of 2.17 (£28.8m) rupees and revenues of 7.65 (£101.4m). However, the company remains concerned about the affect the ongoing conflict might have on business. Nandan Nilekani, Infosys CEO, said in a statement: "We continue to remain cautious due to delays in client and prospect visits arising from adverse travel advisories and due to the challenging global business environment."
