NEWS The Law Society, which represents legal professionals in England and Wales, has signed an £18m outsourcing agreement with UK ebusiness provider Aspective. The deal, which will run for five years, will see Aspective implement a CRM system for the Law Society which is designed to improve communication with the public as well as connect the Society to a network of more than 80,000 solicitors across the UK. The CRM system will manage all customer records, such as case handling, complaints and registration information. It will be used by up to 1,000 people internally. Aspective will also be responsible for hosting and managing a website aimed at giving customers secure access to legal information online, while a redesigned intranet site will improve access to information for Law Society staff. The Law Society expects to be processing around 300,000 online enquiries per month via the new website.
