Autonomy wins €1m contract with Schneider Electric

Technology promises to make workers more efficient

NEWS Enterprise-software maker Autonomy has sealed a deal with Schneider Electric to provide the technology to process information on Schneider's intranet and extranets.

The deal is worth an estimated €1.1m.

Autonomy's language-independent solution will allow 100,000 users in 130 countries to access data wherever it is located in real-time, increasing worker efficiency, the French power company reckons. Features such as hyperlinking and categorisation make it particularly convenient for employees to communicate and collaborate.

Schneider Electric previously used technology from Verity for this purpose.
