Competition is always good in any marketplace. Personally, I like using dogreatgood as they donate to pet rescue groups from searching. I search, they donate!

As mentioned above, competation is good.
However, bing.com is unremarkable and offers me little I cannot already get elsewhere, and better as well. Lacks the cohesion of Google's offering, and their existing Live Search.
If Microsoft won't spend the money on Yahoo, asking way too much, maybe they should consider buying the once search engine leader Altavista, or maybe Ask who have the technology, but have fallen out of favour. Microsoft Alta Vista Search ? Would be a great poke in the eye to the greedy Yahoo Board.
Maybe if Microsoft were looking for a new market, they should be levaraging their existing Multimap and AutoRoute purchases they have done very little with, added some Virtual Earth and launched......
