Overview BTI Hellas, based in Athens, Greece, is a leading graphic arts equipment supplier for the Greek market. The company's mixed IT environment was expensive to manage, and its messaging solution did not support business communications for the sales force, which relied on faxes and phone calls, resulting in hour- or day-long delays in customer service. BTI Hellas standardized on an integrated Microsoft communication and collaboration solution, saving Â¬107,000 [U.S.$139,000] on software acquisition costs by signing a Microsoft Open Value Volume Licensing Agreement. Now, sales staffers respond to calls instantly, and technical support engineers serve customers within minutes. Microsoft Software Assurance provides extra IT support for the two-person IT department plus additional training and software home-use options for staff, which generated productivity gains of approximately 43 percent.
