Overview This paper aims to reveal the effectiveness of the Capital Asset Pricing Model, also known as the CAPM, from various points of view based on studies conducted on the subject. The first part discusses the history behind the model and its fundamental applications. The following sections deal with the functions of the CAPM, its graphical representation, and its connection with the beta factor. The following part offers information about the empirical validation of the model. Following, there is a section devoted to the arguments in favor and against the capital asset pricing model.
