Overview Universite Laval wanted to ensure high availability of the university's mission-critical PeopleSoft Enterprise financial applications, which must be available 19 hours per day, seven days a week and gain an easy-to-use and maintain middleware infrastructure - reducing IT requirements and costs for the university's limited number of IT staff members. Universite Laval implemented Oracle Tuxedo as the transaction processing foundation for the university's PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management System Suite applications and managed multiple technologies - pure Structured Query Language (SQL), Java, COBOL, and batch - on one system, helping to reduce the burden on the IT team for management and maintenance.
