Casema Selects Scientific Atlanta DVB/PVR Set-Top to Expand Digital Footprint in the Netherlands

Overview With 1.4 million subscribers, Casema is one of the leading cable network operators in the Netherlands. During its existence Casema has been responsible for the standardization within the European cable market and numerous innovations in the area of cable television. The company wanted to expanded digital video services to more than 1 million television service subscribers, and view new PVR and HD initiative as a key business venture that will strengthen position in the marketplace. Scientific Atlanta along with Casema has selected the Explorer 8455DVBTM High-Definition TeleVision (HDTV) Personal Video Recorder (PVR) set-top for the expansion of digital interactive video services in the Netherlands.
