Client Computing With a VUE
Category: Desktops, Laptops and OS, Servers and Server OS
Overview Intel FT is developing a Virtual User Environment (VUE), a new approach that could transform the way it delivers computing to users. It employs a managed, virtualized IT container that runs on any capable client hardware, with IT applications and data delivered by streaming. The VUE could enable radically new business models at Intel Employees could buy their own client platforms of choice, and Intel IT would no longer have to build and support client PCs. Employees could then use a variety of different devices to access IT services while also running personal applications.
