noax Industrial PCs Document the Operation of Semi-Finished Aluminum Extrusion Products

Overview When Marcus Bauereiss takes his visitors through the Aluminium Rheinfelden plant in Germany, one is reminded of early twentieth century, industrial plants. The hall contains not only smelting and casting furnaces, but also a noax Stainless Steel IPC S15 which is used by the operators to determine the origin of the metal used in the smelting process at the Aluminum Rheinfelden plant. Operators who feed the primary aluminum into the furnaces also enter data in the rugged mobile PCs. With the help of barcode scanners on their forklifts, the operators determine who produced the pig aluminum and what its weight is. Pig aluminum refers to the ingots, stacked on palettes, ready for processing.
