Lightning-Fast Data Delivery at the London Stock Exchange
Category: Data Management, Networking and Communications
Overview A recent review of future requirements identified a need for a technology solution for London Stock Exchange that offered broader functionality than the London Market Information Link (LMIL), with support for multiple protocols and data specifications. In selecting a new technology platform, the Exchange benefited from a long-term strategic relationship with HP - a relationship built on HP's clear leadership as a platform provider for the stock market sector. Known as Infolect, the functionally enhanced replacement for LMIL is based on Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL Server 2000, and runs on a server farm of some 100 HP ProLiant-based systems.
