Architecting a Finely Tuned SAS Grid Solution

Overview SAS Grid Computing is an enterprise-class solution that enables SAS applications to take better advantage of computing resources. SAS Grid Manager manages the SAS workload dynamically across all nodes in the SAS Computing Grid. It provides dynamic load balancing, job prioritization and SAS job control. Part of the value-add in deploying SAS for Grid Computing is that the solution can be architected for easy management and growth. When architecting this solution it is important to understand the components required to ensure a scalable and highly optimized solution. SAS Grid Computing solutions are extremely i/o and compute intensive. They also require the use of a high performance clustered file system that allows all servers to access the same file systems.
