Overview Data mining provides advanced analysis techniques to extract useful information from large data. Historically, data mining has been a task that could only be accomplished by experts in statistics and data analysis. The results of data mining, on the other hand, are often relevant to a variety of users across the company. This series of papers covers the general architecture and business opportunities of combining IBM InfoSphere Warehouse data mining with IBM Cognos reporting. This integration enables people across the company to exploit data mining results. This first paper introduces the basic integration architecture and also includes a short, technical case study to give one a basic understanding of how to achieve the integration.
