The company wanted to reduce IT costs related to the company's legacy statistical analysis system. The challenge was to give thousands of users simultaneous access to the latest pricing figures while maintaining consistent, predictable response times and deliver the new system with minimal impact to existing users and applications. The company selected Oracle Database 10g and its Oracle OLAP option to create a highly scalable, available, and responsive IT infrastructure that delivers real-time analytics and pricing information.
