Overview LHBw Bundeswehr-Bekleidungsgesellschaft mbH is a privately owned company that manages clothing for the German Armed Forces. Two companies - Lion Apparel Deutschland GmbH and Hellmann Worldwide Logistics GmbH & Co KG - are the private majority partners in the organization. The challenge was to introduce new Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) processes and systems for greater overall efficiency and optimize processes to rapidly and accurately equip 250,000 soldiers and 110,000 civil employees of the armed forces with specialized, durable clothing. The company revamped system by introducing Oracle Database Enterprise Edition and an array ERP modules from Oracle E-Business Suite in the company's clothing and preparation centers as well as 111 service outlets.
