Overview Hess Industries Ltd. is a full service tool and die shop specializing in building and repairing progressive and transfer dies using the most advanced technology. Hess Industries wanted to reduce costs to compete with foreign markets. The challenge was to speed die development to meet customers' demands for fast turnaround. Hess Industries chose Solid Edge CAD software from Siemens PLM Software over SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor for several reasons. The main reason was Solid Edge's tight integration with Siemens PLM Software's highend design software solution, NX, which is used by many of Hess's customers in the auto industry.
