Overview Established in 1987, Shenzhen Development Bank (SDB) has 266 branches in 18 cities across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, and over 600 correspondent banks in more than 70 countries. The bank's rapid growth in the domestic and international markets led to an explosion in employee numbers. SDB needed to transform human resources from an administration-oriented operation to a strategic service that could add value to the business. To improve HR management, SDB deployed an integrated system based on Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management modules that streamlined and automated HR activities, captured workforce information in a single repository, and introduced in-depth reporting capabilities.
