Business executives don't see value and regard IT as a cost-center. To shift the focus from continually looking at cost to instead delivering value, CIOs and IT leaders must develop a means of demonstrating and reporting IT's contribution to the business. This means identifying the things that are important to the business, setting the right targets, and ensuring the capabilities exist within IT to drive continuous improvement.
