The Citizen Kiosk: A Vision for Local Government

Overview This paper gives an overview of Government's initiative for public access of Government policies and actions. When the city set out to make government services more readily accessible to its citizens, it decided that deploying kiosks in public facilities would be a big step in the right direction. Through a partnership with Innoprise Software the city has successfully facilitated public accessibility to a wide range of government services, not only via self-service kiosks in government buildings, but also through a unique "City in the Mall" concept whereby citizens now have secure, convenient access to e-government services literally while they shop.
