Ajax Development of ATG Applications Using DWR: How to Integrate DWR With ATG's Nucleus IoC Container to Enable Development of Rich User Interfaces for Applications

Overview Ajax, Asynchronous JavaScript and XML, is a programming technique for building rich user experiences into web applications. It uses a combination of technologies, such as HTML, DOM, JavaScript and XMLHttpRequest, to create applications that only refresh the portions of an HTML page that need to be updated in response to a user action, rather than refreshing the entire page after every click. The Ajax engine (the technologies resident in the browser) can perform simple actions, such as field validation, on the client side so that a roundtrip request to the server is not required.
