Mobile System for Video Streaming of Lectures

Overview The purpose of this paper is to introduce a mobile technical solution for IP video streaming that is usable for live broadcasts of lectures over the IP-based networks. The main unit has to be complemented with ad-hoc cabling and peripherals respecting the needs of each specific event. The paper uses the example of an international conference about e-learning technical infrastructure to describe the use of the system for broadcast of a short movie, simultaneous presentation in three auditoriums and streaming (with MPEG-2 recording) of individual lectures within the conference, according to the demands of its organizers, in two languages (English and Czech).
