Service Oriented Architecture to Manage Units of Learning Based on the IMS LD Specification
Category: Software and Web Development
Overview A learning design describes the method that enables learners to achieve learning objectives after carrying out a set of activities using the resources of an environment. Among the current proposals, the IMS Learning Design (IMS LD) (IMS Consortium, 2003) specification has emerged as the de facto standard that facilitates the representation of learning designs independently of the chosen pedagogical focus. Nowadays, the CopperCore engine is the most used platform available for executing IMS LD learning designs.
