Overview Enterprise application development is no longer simply characterized by closed, proprietary systems. IT organizations worldwide recognize that significant benefits can be gained by implementing on an open architecture. Traditional application integration approaches have been proprietary and expensive. Organizations now want to build their systems and applications via loosely-coupled, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to drive the maximum efficiency from automation, while minimizing the overall cost, time and resources needed to build and maintain new adaptive applications. A Service Oriented Architecture allows organizations to build applications as collections of individual entities, devoid of monolithic, proprietary development frameworks.
