University Upgrades e-Mail System to Improve Collaboration, Security, and Flexibility
Overview Faculty and staff at the American University of Beirut wanted to enhance its e-mail messaging capabilities beyond what the open-source Exim message transfer agent could provide. The IT staff planed to implement Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 as its new messaging system. When Exchange Server 2007 was fully deployed, the university had enhanced e-mail functionality and security, better collaboration, superior mail retention, and greater flexibility in extending messaging capabilities.
